When I’m trying products out for the first time I initally love them. So, i thought it would be a good idea to actually do a follow up after I finished them. I’ve seen on Youtube that a lot of people do product empties videos.  i thought I would start doing blog posts with a similar theme maybe a more through review of the product and how I liked it, and if I would purchase it again.

My Product Empties from April

My Product Empties from April

Aussie Moist Conditioner

I have been purchasing this product for about a year now. I love how much slip it gives me when I have to detangle my natural hair. The smell of the product is great without being to over powering. Plus when I use it for a co-wash it makes my hair nice and hydrated and its great at getting rid of build up from products Without totally stripping my hair. I actually bought a second one of these when the one in the picture ran low. After that runs out I’ll probably move on to something new though. Gotta switch it up.

Freeman Feeling Beautiful Facial Polishing Mask Charcoal & Black Sugar

This was my first time purchasing this product and I would definitely buy it in the future. I like how it could be used as both a facial scrub and a face mask. Thought I did think that the sugar scrubs were kind of large. They were not abrasive. The last bit of the product was very hard to squeeze out of the container.  It was also hard to keep the cap closed properly. That might have been me picking up a defective one. I just laid it against something that would force the lid to stay closed.

Not Your Mother’s Kinky Moves Curl Defining Hair Cream

I bought this product from Ulta when I was shopping around to try out new hair products. I actually really enjoyed this product and how it worked on my hair. It really gave great definition. It wasn’t runny, so you didn’t think you were wasting product when you rubbed your hands together . It had a very strong scent. It smelled great. But if you wore perfume I feel like it might actually over power the scent. The smell had an artificial scent to it. I’m on the fence about purchasing again. Maybe, if they toned down the fragrance. It did last for a long time though.

Shea Moisture Raw Shea Butter Facial Wash & Scrub with Frankincense & Myrrh

I received this product about two months ago in a VoxBox from influenster. I tried it a few times back when I had to do a review on it. I finally finished it last month and I was not disappointed. I already love Shea Moisture’s hair care products. So I was excited when I first got this and seen they had moved into skincare. The face wash had exfoliators in the formula but it wasn’t scratchy and abrasive. The consistency creamy which probably helped with the scrubbers.  This product smells great. It also has a strong scent. Because of the Frankincense and Myrrh. The good thing is it doesn’t linger and it’s not over powering. It  doesn’t have an artificial smell. I would most definitely purchase this again.

Shea Moisture Raw Shea Butter Anti-Aging Facial Mask with Frankincense & Myrrh

I also received this with the Facial Wash. This product is super rich and creamy. I have super oily skin, and didn’t think that this would work very well for my skin. I was really surprised with how smooth and brightening it made my skin. I think it might have been to rich for my oily skin though. It was a oily battle later that day. So this product I don’t think I would purchase again.

Have you used up any new products lately? Which ones did you love and which one did you not care to much for? I don’t have much up next month’s empties but stay tuned and see.
